The access control family solutions

An access control solution is an hardware and software system that controls the opening of o door or a generic passage permitting the cross only if the user has been recognized and is authorized.

Among the different approach that could be used for identification (keyboard, magnetic badge, biometric measures, etc.), RF-ID solutions match an high reliability, flexibility, user friendship with an affordable price.

The OPEN family

The users have simply to draw up the specific badge to the reader to be recognized (specific adhesive tag could be provided for existing badges). A central system permit to define the white lists. The authorizations could depend on the time, on the firm and subordination binds could be defined (access is permitted only after another user)

The OPEN family offer three different configurations:

• Open Easy: up till 8 doors, Open Easy is a very cheap solution suitable for occasional upload of white lists and download of transactions.
• Open Light: Open Light is the entry level solution for a real-time centralized management of the complete system. The head of the system is a embedded PC with the ACE Light software, accessible via HTTP.
• Open All: Open All adds to the Open Light configuration an advanced and complete software that permits to manage additional information as personal data of users, more company profiles, offices data.

The system offers to the manager a rich and detailed report on accesses that took place.

Bets products had been developed to allow a gradual installation, an easy upgrade and the fast integration of more systems. OPEN products could be easily integrated with alarm or video surveillance systems, for example to deny access when alarm is turned on.
